It’s October – Moonlight Ramble Time!
Get your bike cleaned up from the August monsoons and get ready to ramble! This year’s event details are on BikeHouston‘s page.
Missouri City/Sienna Plantation Commuters:
You have a new connector service to METRO on your end of the county. Pick a pretty day and try it out. Remember, riding just one day a week can save you hundreds over a year! For Galleria commuters, you would get off the MCTx at the Missouri City Park and Ride and then board the #63-Fondren to either Fondren and Richmond to board the #25-Richmond, or onto Westheimer to board the #82-Westheimer. Greenway commuters need to take the #65-Bissonnet to Buffalo Speedway where you will take the #84 to go around the campus.
Pearland / 288 Commuters: Here’s Your Good News!
Pearland commuters, you will soon have the chance to ditch the daily drive into downtown and the Texas Medical Center. The City of Pearland is launching its first-ever Park and Ride program Fall 2018. Buses will leave from the Sports Complex at Shadow Creek Ranch, where there are 350 free parking spaces.
It will make 10 stops in the Texas Medical Center and nine stops downtown. Riders will pay $6.50 each way, but the city is also working out a discount for monthly memberships. (This information from a Channel 13 report in July 2018, subject to change.)
REMINDER: Exact Change needed on cash fares.
Buses will run from 5:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. each morning, every 15 minutes, Monday through Friday. Return service starts at 3 p.m., with the last bus leaving at 6:45 p.m.
GREENWAY Commuters: Per the latest information on proposed stops, it looks like you will be able to get off at the #4 Main St/Southgate Stop and connect with the METRO #84 bus that will take you directly to Greenway Plaza!
GALLERIA Commuters: You can also get off at the #4 stop, hop onto the #84 and then go on to the Westheimer at Westlayan stop for the #82-Westheimer bus. Yes, sounds daunting at first blush; but try this – you’ve been wanting this service, so try this out. See if this will work for you at least once a week!
